I have a mandala. It’s pink and I bought it for 50 cents when I was 19 in Katmandu. This Mandala is an invitation for the birthday party of a small girl called Gaia. Buon Compleanno!

… but they are very new making the world seem as if it were enveloped in a white brightness. And, yes, your eyes are too big for your head (a passing teenager told you so), but they were designed that way, so when the day arrives and your big eyes are adjusted the white will subside, the colour will seep in and your fur will feel different. Your big eyes will be able to open and close as they please, seeing the things you want them to see.
I am thinking of going into making cards as I seem to be always making them for other people. I’m not sure if I will ever make it to be the level of Hallmark - they all seem to come out subversively dark. For complicated people only - perhaps. The clientèle might be a bit small for world domination on the greeting card front.
I made this as an exercise in getting a job. The more energy you put out the more it might come back. Made with a big squiggle drawing and some drop shadows in photoshop.
I used a retro colour scheme for the four frames. You can find the other four frames in my Design 2009 section.
It was my girlfriends Birthday yesterday and I was so in my own head I forgot! Bad friend. She told me all would be forgiven and forgotten if I just made her one of my cards… It has a Sesame Street feel to match her new striped cushions.
I was in such a hurry this morning I photographed it on my bed. How girly can you get.
