I am not a trained Graphic Designer. I actually come from a Visual Art background (plus communications and digital media as well). The rules are very different. Visual art is about being taught to think from scratch and then not really care how a product, if in fact there is a product is interpretated. Design is about finding solutions to ideas that already exist and then making sure everyone understands them. I’ve learnt the hard way about Design, usually through my mistakes. It’s been a long and winding affair that has finally come good. Attention to detail, problem solving and communicating has never felt better.
Most of the time I work as an art director and broadcast designer for all things television, including documentaries and sometimes film. I also work in print and logo design.
